I’ve done a lot of reading and some investing over the years in a variety of areas. I’ve decided to get back on the wagon and more serious about both my personal finances and my investing and so I started this blog to share the wealth (so to speak ).

My financial background has gone from your basic middle class upbringing, to joining the military and living below poverty levels to being a single parent in the military and still being under poverty, to becoming a software developer and making a high 5 figure salary. I’ve invested in mutual funds, commodities and individual stocks. So while I’m not yet wealthy I’ve pretty much tried every common form of investment other than real estate; but that is yet to come.
