I've spent a long time wearing Walmart clothes, having hand-me-down furniture and other such things. It isn't so much that I'm stuck on having name brand stuff, just that I want some quality for once and if I can get quality clothes at Walmart prices all the better!

Nice to see you back Golbguru :-)

Yep we do use Ross ..and like Lazy man above, TJ Maxx at times.
But do brand names matter to you that much? At times I have found better "quality" clothes in local Walmart here :), and we run with that most of the times.

My wife has shopped at Marshalls as well, but in the past I've gotten stuff at Kohls like mentioned above. I'm actually in the process of increasing my wardrobe and I want nice stuff but don't have the money for it.

I do admit that the selection at Ross wasn't that great. I couldn't find a lot to choose from when it came to slacks for example.

Thanks for the comments!

You know Ross isn't always cheaper than other department stores -- after years of being a devote Rossee I've realized that the price they are marking down from is not the "distributor" price but the "manufacturer suggested retail price." So, to be honest I've stopped shopping at Ross since they never have exactly what I'm looking for anyway. One of things that has stopped me from buying insane amount of clothes is the fact that I'm trying to downsize my wardrobe, and am in the process of losing weight. I won't buy clothes again til I get closer to the size/weight I'm targeting for (unless I need it)
